About us

Jesus.net is a global movement of over 70 national and international ministrypartners working together.

Collaboration is the key within Jesus.net. Since the beginning (2005), a French ministry and a Dutch ministry started working together by sharing vision, concepts, technology and linking to each other. For many years, we called the collaboration the“Jesus Internet project”. At that time, we already saw that the Kingdom of Jesus needed these unconditional partnerships, where the only focus is on bringing the Good news of Jesus to the Internet. In 2010, we started to use the name “Jesus.net” for the alliance and the network started growing. We quickly realized that we needed to have a structure to organize the movement. In 2012, the Jesus.net non-profit was founded in the Netherlands.

VALUES

Innovation  To inspire and encourage others to develop creative evangelistic tools, we always choose innovations that will rank Jesus.net as a cutting edge and trendsetting evangelistic platform.

Unity  To secure the sustainable growth and multiplication of Jesus.net, ensuring the fruitfulness of invested resources and efforts, we always choose collaborations that will nourish its DNA.

Humility  To impact people instead of impress them, we always display an attitude of modesty, humility, and accountability by giving glory to God in all we do and for all we achieve.

Wholeheartedness  To transmit joy and have a contagious enthusiasm that impact our partners and our audience, we always find the motivation for our undertakings in our undivided passion for searchers and for online communication.

Excellence  To glorify God and be effective in reaching our goals, we always strive for excellence in everything we do.

Seeker Driven  To resonate with the reality of seekers and be relevant for their spiritual journey, we always aim first for their heart and focus on their spiritual needs.

Accessibility  To give every opportunity to all sustainable potential for growth, we never let financial inability or any disability hinder the transfer of our resources, knowledge, and experience.

Jesus only  To keep our focus on evangelization and win as many people as possible for Christ, we always concentrate on spreading the redeeming message of crucified and resurrected Jesus and refrain from denominational debates.

NETWORK OF PARTNERS

The partners are the ones that form Jesus.net. Each of these ministries is ‘local owner’ but works along the same strategy-model. Together, we develop effective online ministry strategies, create innovative tools and equip hundreds of Christian volunteers to engage in meaningful online conversations. Every day, we see over 4,000 people putting their trust in God through one of our websites and we support them in the next steps of their individual spiritual journey. And we dream of more people worldwide getting to know Jesus and following Him!  We have different types of partners: Ministry Partner (MP) – The Ministry partners join the movement by adopting and owning Jesus.net as an open source evangelistic and discipleship platform. This local entity represents the Jesus.net movement in a language and/or territory, and facilitates and coordinates the work of volunteers and staff who implement its strategy, using Jesus.net tools and know-how, according to the DNA, in addition to what they already have in place. In case of large territories and where more MP’s would be practical, one will be designated as a leading partner. MP’s have the legal and financial responsibility for the work it coordinates.

Contributing Partner (CP) – This partner supplies or develops resources, content, materials, courses, expertise, technology etc. and licenses it for free to Jesus.net to be used for the sake of evangelism and discipleship. Prayer Partner (PP) – An individual, church or organization that regularly prays for the Jesus.net Ministry Partners, its leadership and the searchers and young Christians helped on their spiritual journey by Jesus.net. They receive regular updates in various forms allowing them to pray more diligently. Financial Partner (FP) – An organization, church or individual person contributing financially towards realizing the goals of Jesus.net.

SUPPORTING STRUCTURE

In 2011, we concluded that more support for the partners was needed. Therefore, the Jesus.net coordination group was formed. To keep this team supportive and to avoid a “headquarters” mentality, the partners provide dedicated people to serve the entire network.  The supporting structure consists of three groups:

Board Board of Supervision:

  • Cochrum, Kenneth Lee (Chairman)
  • Krol, Henryk Emanuel (Secretary)
  • Barry, Chantal (Member)
  • Barun, Ken (Member)
  • Griffin, Wes (Member)

The Executive team leads the worldwide implementation of the strategy and works on expanding the movement. The members of the Executive team are:

Legal Structure

To ensure a solid legal structure for the movement, an official Jesus.net Foundation was created. Also, a set of agreements has been developed to ensure continuity in the future. Clear processes and quality control mechanisms have also been implemented for adding new partners and tools to the network.
